Questions
Where is my inventory stored, and what can Apple process?
Your inventory and photos are stored on your device, with no Strongbox account, inventory sync, ads, or tracking. When enabled and available, Apple Private Cloud Compute can process a room photo, its room name, and existing item names. Requested replacement estimates may send Apple text-only item details, currency, and region, excluding photos, serial numbers, barcodes, policy details, and your address. Label photos and serial numbers stay on-device. Strongbox shows which processing engine ran.
Which devices can I use, and how do I pay?
Strongbox runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS 27 or iPadOS 27 or later. It is a paid download with no in-app purchases or subscription. Apple Intelligence features depend on supported hardware and model availability; cloud processing requires an internet connection. See the App Store for your local price and compatibility.
Are replacement values appraisals, and what can I export?
Replacement values are estimates, not professional appraisals. Review detected items and estimated values, or enter your own figures. Strongbox exports a paginated PDF and structured CSV with your inventory and policy details; check your insurer’s requirements for supporting a claim.
