Questions
- Does Sydline work offline?
- Yes. Published departures, trip planning, fare estimates, and the network map use data stored on your device. Live alerts, train positions, road incidents, and timetable updates need a connection; scheduled departures do not guarantee real-time running.
- Which services does Sydline cover?
- Sydline covers Sydney Trains, Sydney Metro, and Sydney light rail. It excludes NSW TrainLink intercity and regional services. Timetable data comes from Transport for NSW, which does not affiliate with or endorse Sydline.
- Do I need Apple Intelligence?
- No. A built-in parser also handles plain-English questions. On supported devices, Apple Intelligence interprets typed questions on device, while transit facts come from the local timetable.
- What information leaves my device?
- Saved trips, your home station, typed questions, and timetable searches stay on your device. Optional live features send limited transit context and network information to the service. Voice transcription may be processed by Apple when on-device recognition is unavailable. There is no account, advertising, analytics, or cross-app tracking.
