The Problem
Counting people at a venue, event, or worksite usually means a clicker in one hand and a spreadsheet later — with no way to distinguish locations, review past counts, or share totals across devices without an account.
The Solution
VenueTally gives you a fast manual counter and a camera-assisted Vision counter in one app. Save counts by location, review your history, and sync everything privately through your own iCloud — no account, no servers, no tracking.
What you get
Fast manual counting
Tap to count with a large, responsive counter that keeps up with fast-paced entries at doors, gates, or checkpoints.
Camera-assisted Vision counting
Point your camera and let on-device Apple Vision detect and count people in the frame — great for crowded areas where manual tapping is impractical.
Counts by location
Organise counts by venue or location so you can track multiple areas independently and review them later.
Saved counting history
Every session is saved with date, location, and totals so you can review, compare, and export past counts.
Private CloudKit sync
Your counts sync across iPhone and iPad through your own private iCloud — no account to create, no data shared with anyone.
Privacy-first design
No account, no analytics, no third-party SDKs. Everything stays on your devices and in your private iCloud.
Questions
- Does VenueTally require an internet connection?
- No. You can count and save sessions fully offline. Counts sync through iCloud when connectivity is available.
- Where is my data stored?
- On your device and in your own private iCloud (CloudKit). There is no backend, no account, and no third-party access to your data.
- How does the camera counting work?
- VenueTally uses Apple's on-device Vision framework to detect people in the camera frame. All processing happens locally — no images or data leave your device.
